reliatech welcomes Summers as engineering manager.
Clint Summers came to reliatech in January to serve as Engineering Manager and Chief Electrical Engineer. Mr. Summers was hired from the Department of Defense, where he served as the Chief Electrical Power Engineer for the global mission of NSA.
There, Mr. Summers was responsible for the design, construction, analysis, maintenance and repair of all of the Agency's data center facilities worldwide, as well as high, medium and low voltage electrical power generation and distribution for over 140MW worth of data centers, mixed use facilities, manufacturing/ sensitive process and office loads.
During his tenure at the Agency, Mr. Summers personally oversaw the redesign and construction of the electrical power system which supports the Louis Tordella Supercomputer Building. He was also responsible for Tier 3 and Tier 4 electrical power systems for all of the Agency's new data centers (Cryptologic Centers) ranging in size from 10 to 50 MW, in Maryland, Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Hawaii and abroad.
Mr. Summers was also responsible for the development of a $2 Billion program to overhaul and upgrade the entire electrical infrastructure including substations, medium voltage distribution, generators and UPS systems for the Agency's headquarters at Ft. George G. Meade.
Prior to working for the Agency, Mr. Summers worked with URS and URS Washington Division (formerly Washington Group International/Morrison Knudsen Corp.) as a Senior Engineer and Electrical Engineering Department Manager working on a wide range of mission critical facilities projects for Government as well as private customers around the world. Mr. Summers holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech University.
reliatech Engineer earns LEED Accredited Professional Designation.
Electrical Engineer Omar Jouhar has been granted LEED Accredited Professional (AP) credentials by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
These credentials are the result of previous experience working on a LEED Registered and a demonstrated understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System. Practices and principles addressed in the exam include Project Systems and Energy Impacts, Acquisition, Installation, and Management of Project Materials, Stakeholder Involvement in Innovation, and Project Surroundings and Public Outreach.
